Lovers of "champagne" bubbles beware! We bring you a sparkling wine, made by the traditional method - Méthode traditionnelle, produced directly in the winery TOKAJ MACIK WINERY .
Made by secondary fermentation in the bottle. Tokaj sparkling wines are both BRUT, yet they are completely different.
The excellent sparkling wines have been named after what we really love.
The organic grapes come from the KRALOVKA hunt, which is an old historic vineyard such our "GRAND CRU". The name itself says that the wines from this vineyard went to the royal court.
ERIC- the meaning of the word in Nordic languages means "Royal", but Erik is also the name of the first son of Jara and Erika. This is how we linked the bond of family and the royal vineyard.
This sparkling wine is made from 100% FURMINT- an acid-rich variety, which is quite essential in sparkling wine.
Our first Tokaj sparkling wine made from Furmint will win you over immediately after pouring into the glass with its rich foam and green-golden colour. Already in the first nose, you can taste the typical 'tokajčina' in the form of pickled winter apples in honey, honeycomb, juchtovinka and crushed caraway seeds. Intensely pearly on the palate, with the associations described in the aroma and a sweetness-evocative round body with a pleasant grapey-spicy finish.
Drink this premium sparkling wine with grilled, fresh herb-stuffed sea bass on a bed of roasted, cumin-flavoured potatoes.
